Speech Recognition Systems
The TDA7550R (Euterpe) from STMicroelectronics is a powerful embedded speech device on which several applications have been developed. Please check ST site for further information.
Development platforms for TDA7550R
A complete development system for the TDA7550R has been designed. An EPP parallel port interface is avaible for controlling the operating conditions of the device. Complete software drivers and libraries have been designed to allow rapid prototyping during the firmware development phase. The on-board FPGA contains an EPP-compliant interface, a-high speed 12C interface and bidirectional pin control of the TDA7550R.
All the generations of Euterpe have been supported; stand alone designs are currently being developed following customers' requests. On the right, a complete functional module is shown, with a 2MBytes FLASH for storing speaker-independent vocabularies and user words.
Before the device was available, an FPGA-based board emulating its custom peripherals was designed, allowing initial software development before the actual device was ready for firmware development.
Products based on TDA755X
| This small module (4 cm x 4.8 cm) has been designed to fit into an existing enclosure, and provides all functions for embedded automatic speech recognition. |
| This unit has been designed as a command-and-control stand-alone system for automotive applications, directly controlling external equipment and allowing recording of user words. |
